The implantation of the majority of the European Institutions has basically changed the urban and social scenery in Brussels. Approximately 10% of the population in Brussels Regional Capital has direct of indirect ties with these European institutions and a quarter of the 13.000.000 m² available office space is taken by European affairs.
But how does the European Union and its institution work? The Commission, the Council, the Board of Ministers, the Parlement, the committees (regional, economical and social), and the numerous lobbies? Where do the civil servants work?
During this walk around the Schuman area we'll explain to you the differents aspects (social, cultural, real estate,...) of this really complicated organization.
This tour is ideal for everybody, and especially students, who want to deepen their knowledge about the European Union.
