Leuven was already mentioned in year 884 as Luvanium. This city is famous for its university, the KU Leuven, oldest in the country since it was founded in 1425. But as the students will tell you, you should also think of barley since the headquarters of Anheuser-Busch Inbev are located in Leuven!
Leuven has more to offer than students and beer. The city centre is very charming although it was heavily destroyed during world war I and will welcome you with open arms: the city hall, the market place, its churches and university buildings, one of the city’s heroin Fiere Margriet … among other things.
This tour doesn't provide visits inside the buildings.
